I am on permanent bed rest, the kids are at the movies, and I am playing on the computer. I ran across a blog that had In My Daughter's Eyes, by Martina McBride playing the background. It seems like I am a magnet for all things emotional right now. I can't hear that song when I am not pregnant without crying, never mind 8 months pregnant with my next daughter. I knew I wanted to be a mom my whole life. I actually really wanted boys and secretly hoped Callie was a boy. Boy(not pun intended), I am so glad I was wrong. God's ways are so much better than our plans. She is just the thing I needed. She is the spitting imagine of her Daddy sprinkled with snippets of the rest of our family topped off with her own little spirit. She amazes me everyday with her insight, intense love for things, and that smile that seems to get her whatever she wants. She loves her Daddy so much that I feel sorry for her future husband. She is so ready to be a big sister and practices everyday feeding and rocking her babies. I can't help feel a little twing of pain as my time with just my favorite girl is slipping away. Sometimes, she will say things that seems like time is just trying to steal my baby away from me. I was rocking her for her nap the other day, and she looked up at me and said, Mommy when I get married, I am going to wear a pink dress with a yellow crown. Then she said, and then I will have a little boy. It took me back, that even at her tiny 2 years of age, she longs to be a mom too. I know I will love Cate with everything I am, just like I do with C and Callie, but I am not looking forward to making way for my favorite baby sliding Callie over to share the thrown with Baby Cakes. And if you have ever met My Favorite Girl, you know, her world is about to get rocked. I can't wait for her to meet Cate for the first time. Her very own real live baby. Lord have Mercy on Baby Cate. I expect her to be very protective right from the beginning. Right now she sleeps with all of Cate's new blankets and hides Cate's pacys in her bedside table. She says she is just holding them for Cate until she gets here...right???
Callie, when you get married, you might get a little boy...but you might get a little girl too and for that, you will be forever thankful.

I am just a girl trying to matter to God, my husband, my kids, family and friends. Sometimes I hop two steps forward and crawl one step back or even have to make a twirl to get back on track. But, I hope to give more than I take and have some fun along the way. Stop by for a couple of dances and cut in when you can.
I met Gregg when I was 17 and have been madly in love with him ever since. He is selfless, works really hard, and will do anything for anyone. He really is “that” nice all the time and he makes me a better person. He loves anything outdoors and runs like Forrest any chance he gets. He makes a mean bbq, dances with the kids to Elmo, and leaves cards for us to find all over the house. He is everything I could have ever dreamed of, and I am so proud to be his wife.
Mr. Christian has bluest eyes and is full of life. He is “all boy” and jumps from one adventure to the next. He loves trains, watermelon, and his blankie. He is polite, kind, and has tons of charisma with his little grin. He is a great big brother and gives in to girls more than they deserve. He is Daddy’s little buddy and the joy of my heart.
Miss Callie is everything I ever dreamed up in a little girl. She is about everything and everybody and never sits still. She loves all things girly, babies, mommy’s cell phone, pink, and her pillow. She has a laugh that starts in her toes and will melt you with her smile. She dances through our house in princess dresses with a pen and pad in her hand. She is mama’s little helper and Daddy’s Sweet Pea.
Cate is the icing on the cake. God knew she would be the perfect compliment to our family. She loves necklaces, animals, and her loveys. She has just enough girly to hang with Callie at her tea parties, but already shows a special bond with her big brother loving his superheros. She is a typical third child getting whatever she wants with those deep dimples of hers.
