She is a Spitting Imagine of Her Father

Oh this little girl makes me feel all kinds of emotions.  Warm and fuzzy when she gives you a kiss for no reason or wants you to sing "kinkle kinkle star" and run her back.  Fear and frustration when I think about her becoming a teenager from the behaviors I have already experienced in just her 22 short months of life.  I know why God made her so cute...so you would laugh instead of cry when she is trying to take over the world.  Sometimes I still can't believe she is mine, esp when we look in the mirror.  I don't see myself in her physically...yes there are a few features...but everyone with two good eyes knows she is her Daddy in a girl form.  The faces she is making in these pictures are the same exact faces he makes.  Gregg's mom says she acts a little like him too since she will never sit still and gets into everything.  But, I walked into her room the other day and she was sleeping exactly like I sleep.  On her tummy, hands down by her side underneath her and leg pulled up(which her husband will hate one day since it will push him off the bed).   She is independent and doesn't mind telling people what she thinks.  She is a talker and sings all the time.  She can almost sing her ABCs and seems to speak pretty clearly and doesn't have as many cute sayings as C does.  She will only call me Mama and not Mommy like C does.  She will eat almost anything and will not pass up a snack.  She worries about things like where did Bubba go and if the dishes need to go into the dishwasher.  She loves babies as much as I do.  I didn't play with Barbies, I had babies...tons of them.  One of my favorite gifts from Santa was a real baby doll swing.  I have always loved babies, and I can see she has such a tender heart for them too.  She puts "AB BE" panties on her babies, changes their diapers, and sings to them all day.  As I watched her sleep, I smiled to myself and thought...she is like me...and then I thought oh no, I don't want her to be exactly like me.  There are so many things that I do wrong or still need to learn, so please don't be exactly like me.  The pressure seemed to be huge at that moment of "children learning what they live".  Then on Sunday Pastor Miles spoke on how our children will be like us, no matter what we or they do to try to change that.  It scares me to think that I am modeling the behaviors of who she is to become, but I am going to pray everyday that I am a parent worth following.
