The Big 3-0

Callie is the big 3-0.  This picture hit me for some reason.  She looks so grown up.  Her swinging on the big swing all by herself, being pushed by a boy and loving it.  She is a hoot...all the time...non-stop entertainment.   She exhausts us one minute and surprises us the next.   She is all or nothing, intense, braver than her age, smarter than a 5th grader, and SASSY.   She doesn't miss a thing...nothing...not ever.  You can't fool her, and she is one step a head of you...at all times.  Do not underestimate her.  She can open any lock in this house, smells gum 4 miles away, and jumps out of a deep sleep if she thinks she is going to miss something.  She smiles with her whole face, dances to her own song, and sings constantly.  Anytime there is music, she will ask her Daddy to dance with her.  She wants to be independent, but finally caves to needing us when she is tired or sick.  "My does it" is her favorite saying.   She has this Northern Jersy accent that we don't know where she got it from.  She also adds "ya" to lots of words.  She calls her self Meya, and Gregg Daddya.  It is hilarious.  She loves shoes, food, her pretend phones, Mary Poppins, keeping us on our toes, pitching the best fits, and her pink toe nails.  She is obsessed with washing her hands(usually with lotion and not soap), lip gloss, and tries to sneak make-up in her bed.  She will punch you in the face one second, and then tell you she loves you the most the next.  She doesn't take anything off of anyone.  Size does not intimated her, and I am pretty sure she thinks she is in charge.  She will lie to you in a New York Minute.  C gets blamed for lots of stuff when he isn't even home.  She challenges me every day, sometimes multiple times a day.  She is a born leader, smart, and is on it.  She will be a multi-tasker and be able to do lots of things at once.  She gets things and you don't have to tell her things more than once.  She is a helper, loves doing the dishes and putting away the clothes.  She seems to be the doer in the family.  Before C even has a chance, she has already picked up the toys or got his shoes for him.  She is going through the terrible twos for sure.  Today I am sure she could have won an Oscar for her role in "Pitching a Fit for No Good Reason".  Good thing is C seems to be getting out of his "drive us crazy" stage just as little Miss is entering it.   She is everything we could have ever asked for and more.  We are so glad you are here to keep us laughing.  We love you very much.
